hello friend

good morning

given that the length of the rectangle is 6m less than three times it's breadth.

let the breadth of the rectangle be x.

therefore length of the rectangle is 3x - 6

perimeter of the rectangle = 148m

>> 2 ( l + b ) = 148m

>> 2 ( 3x - 6 + x ) = 148m

>> 4x - 6 = 148/2

>> 4x - 6 = 74

>> 4x = 74 + 6

>> 4x = 80

>> x = 80/4

>> x = 20

hence, breadth of the rectangle = x = 20m

length of the rectangle = 3x - 6 = 3 × 20 - 6

= 60 - 6

= 54m

I hope it will help you..

Heya !!!

Let the Breadth of rectangle be X m.

Length of rectangle = 3( X -6 m = 3X -6

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( L + B)

148 = 2 ( 3X -6+ X)

148/2 = 4X -6

4X -6 = 74

4X = 74+6

4X = 80

X = 80/4 = 20 m

Breadth of rectangle = X = 20m

and,

Length of rectangle = 3X -6 = 3 × 20 -6 = 60-6 = 54 m

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU..... :-)
