Answer:

If the breadth is taken as x cms, then the length is (7/5)x cms.

The perimeter of a rectangle is 2(l+b). Therefore, 2(l+b) = 48 (given)

=> 2{(7/5)x + x} = 48

=> 2(12x/5) = 48

=> 12x/5 = 24

=> x/5 = 2

=> x = 10.

=> 7x/5 =14

So the length of the rectangle is 14 cms.
