Answer :

Given that length of the rectangle is 7/5 of its breadth.

So Let the breadth (B) of rectangle be x

Then, Length of rectangle (L) = 7/5 × x

length = 7/5x

Given Perimeter = 48 cm

So, As we know that

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + B)

Therefore,

2( \frac{7}{5} x + x) = 48 \\  \\ divide \: both \: sides \: by \: 2 \\  \\  \frac{7}{5} x + x = 24 \\  \\ multiply \: both \: side \: by \: 5 \\  \\ 7x + 5x = 120 \\  \\ 12x = 120 \\  \\ x =  \frac{120}{12}  \\  \\ x = 10

So x = 12

Therefore, breadth = 12 cm

and Length = 7/5 × 12 = 16.8 cm

let us take breadth as x.

length=7/5*x

breadth=x

then,according to the formula,

2[l+b]=perimeter of rectangle

put the values now,

2[7/5x+x]=48cm

2[7x/5+5x/5]=48cm

2[12x/5]=48cm

24x/5=48cm

x=48*5/24

x=10cm

now, if x=10 i.e equal to breadth then length=7*10/5

length=14cm

breadth=10cm
