Let the length of the rectangle be x.

Let the breadth of the rectangle be y.

Given that length of the rectangle is 7m more than its breadth.

x = y + 7.

We know that perimeter of a rectangle = 2x + 2y.

Given that perimeter of a rectangle = 50m.

2x + 2y = 50

2(y + 7) + 2y = 50

2y + 14 + 2y =  50

4y + 14 = 50

4y = 50 - 14

4y = 36

y = 9.

If y = 9 then x = y + 7

                       = 9 + 7

                       = 16.

The length of the rectangle = 16m and breadth of the rectangle = 9m.

Hope this helps!
