The length of a rectangle is 8 cm and each of its diagnol is 10 cm . Find the breadth.

As we know that...
(to find the diagonal of a rectangle)
(d)(d) = (L)(L) + (B)(B)
Here:
d=diagonal
L=length
B=Breadth
So on putting the values in formula :
10 x 10 = [8 x 8] + [B x B]
100 = 64 + (B X B)
100 - 64 = (B X B)
36 = (B X B)
B = 6
{on taking the square root we get B=6}
so breadth= 6cm
