it can be solved as:
ABCD is a rectangle
the diagonal divides it into two triangals...then by PGT, solve it
if AB (8 cm) and BC are base and perpendicular, and (diagonal) AC is hypotenuse(10cm)
then, by PGT,
AB^2+BC^2= AC^2
then BC^2 ( breadth) comes out to be 6 cm
