the length of a rectangle is 8 cm longer than its breadth if the perimeter of the rectangle is 80 cm find its length area

SOLUTION

FORMULA =) 2(l+b)

=) let breadth= x

& length = x+8

PERIMETER= 80 (Given)

=) 2(x+x+8)= 80

=) 2x+8 = 40

=) 2x= 40-8

=) 2x= 32

=) x= 32/2

=) x= 16cm

Length = x+8

breadth = x

perimeter=80 cm

perimeter=2(l+b)

80=2(x+8+x)

80/2=x+8+x

40=2x+8

40-8=2x

32=2x

32/2=x

16=x

Length = x+8

=16+8

=24 CM

breadth = 16cm

area = l×b

=24×16

=384cm²
