let breadth be x now according to question length be x+8

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b) =68

2(x+8+x) =68

2x+8. =68/2 = 34

2x =34-8

2x = 26

X = 13 = breadth

length = x+8 =13+8 =21 answer

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x.

Length = x+8 cm

Perimeter of the rectangle = 68 cm

or 2(l+b) = 68 cm

or 2(x+8+x) = 68

or 2(2x+8) = 68

or 2x+8 = 68/2

or 2x+8 = 34

or 2x = 34 -8

or 2x = 26

or x = 26/2 = 13cm

So, Breadth = x = 13 cm

Length = x+8 = 21 cm
