let the breadth =x
length =(x+8)
perimeter =2(l+b)
56=2(x+8+x)
56/2=2x+8
28=2x+8
28-8=2x
20=2x
20/2=x
10cm=x
length =x+8=10+8=18cm
breadth =8cm

Hii dear here is your answer.......

Let length be x
Breadth be y

According to the question
X=8+y-----------(1)
Perimeter =56
2(x+y)=56
x+y=28---------(2)

Put value of x in equation (2)
8+y+y=28
2y=28-8
2y=20
y=20/2
=10cm

X=8+y
X=8+10=18cm

So the length is 18cm and Breadth is 10cm.

Hope it helps you....... ☺️☺️☺️
