The length of a rectangle is decreased by r%, and the breadth is increased by (r+5)%. Find r, if the area of the rectangle is unaltered. 5 8 10 15 20

Let us suppose that

L = length of rectangle

B = breadth of rectangle

A = area of rectangle


Decrease in length is r%

So (new L) = L (1 - r/100)

Similarly (new B) = B (1 + (r+5)/100)
