The length of a rectangle is equal to tripe the width. Find the dimensions of the rectangle if the perimeter is 88 centimetres.​

If we let the width be x, then the length=3x

The perimeter of the rectangle is 2*(w+l)

so in our case, we have

86 = 2*(w+3w)

86 = 8w

w = 86/8 cm

l = 3*86/8 cm
