The length of a rectangle is four times its width. If the area of the rectangle
is 100 m2, what is the length of the rectangle?

Answer:

width of rectangle = x

length of rectangle = 4x

Area of rectangle = length × breadth = 100m^2

x (x) 4x = 100

4x^2 = 100

x^2 = 100/4 = 25

x = √25 = 5

So the length of rectangle is 5×4 = 20 metres
