Answer:

LET THE width of rectangle is X

THEN ACCORDING TO QUESTION THE LENGTH IS 4X

FORMULA FOR PERIMETER:

2(l + b)

PUT VALUE IN FORMULA

100 = 2(4x + x)

100 = 2(5x)

100 = 10x

x = 10m

SO THE LENGTH IS 4X=4×10=40m

and breath is10m

Answer:

Length of the Rectangle = 40m

Width of the Rectangle = 10m

Given that ;

Perimeter of the Rectangle = 100m

Let ;

The width be = x

Length = 4x

Formula :

Perimeter of the Rectangle = 2 ( l + w )

P = 2 ( 4x + x )

2 ( 5x ) = 100

10x = 100

x = 100 / 10

x = 10

Hence ;

Width of the Rectangle ( x ) = 10m

Length of the Rectangle ( 4x ) = 4 × 10

= 40m
