Step-by-step explanation:

Hello mate

Here is your answer

let the breadth be x

then length =x+5

then perimeter =2*(length +breadth)

=2*(x+x+5)

=2*(2x+5)

=4x+10

But perimeter =42(Given)

hence 4x+10=42

=>4x=42-10

=> x = 32/4=8

so, breadth = 8 m

and length =( 8+5)m=13m

hope it helps

Here is ur answer ♥

Let,

The length of the rectangle be ( 5 + x )m

and The breadth of the rectangle be x m

perimeter of the rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

According To The Question

2 × ( 5 + x + x ) = 42

→ 10 + 2x + 2x = 42

→ 4x = 42 - 10

→ 4x = 32

→ x = \frac{32}{4}

→ x = 8

Therefore,

The length of the rectangle is →

( 5 + 8 ) m

= 13 m

And the breadth of the rectangle is = 8 m
