Let the breadth be x cm.
Then, the length will be (x + 18) cm.
Given, area of the rectangle = 196cm^2
We know that,
Length × Breadth = Area
So, (x + 18) cm × x cm = 196 cm^2
On solving the equation, we will get x as something that you can find oit by applying the formula of quadratic equation which I don't know so I can't solve it completely.
Hope it helps.
