let breadth of rectangle be X
then, its length= X+18
length and breadth increase by 6cm= X+6 and X+18+6
area of rectangle =lxb
168 = X+6 +(X+18+6)
168= x+24
X=168-24
X=142
length=X+18+6=142 + 18 + 6= 166
breadth=X+6=142+6=148
