Breadth of rectangle = x

Length of rectangle = 18+x

A/Q

Length of rectangle =18+x+6=x+24

Breadth of rectangle = x+6

Area of rectangle =2(x+6+18+x+6)+168=24x+6x+144

On solving (1) and (2) with increased area by 168cm^2

x^2 +18x+168 = x^2+30x+144

18x+168=30x+144

12x=24

x=2

Hence, breadth is 2 cm and length and 20 cm (2+18cm).
