The length of a rectangle is increased to 2 times its original size, and it's width is increased to 3 times its original size. If the area of the new rectangle is equal to 1800 square meters, what is the area of the original rectangle?

Let the original rectangle be L and B. Its area = LB.

When the length being doubled and the width tribled we have

2L*3B = 1800

LB = 1800/6 = 300 sq m.

The area of the original rectangle was 300 sq m.
