so length= 2b+1
breadth=b
perimeter=80cm
perimeter=2(l+b)
80cm=2(2b+1+b)
80/2=3b+1
40-1=3b
39/3=b
so breadth= 13 cm
length=2(13)+1=27cm

let the length=x cm
let the breadth=y cm
Acc. to ques
x=1+2y
x-2y=1..............(1)
2(x+y)=80
x+y=80/2
x+y=40..............(2)
solve by elimination
x-2y=1
x+y=40
- - -
_______
-3y=-39
y=39/3
y=13
put y in (1)
x-2(13)=1
x-26=1
x=27
