The length of a rectangle is one more than four times its width. if the perimeter of the rectangle is 62 meters, how do you find the dimensions of the rectangle?

let length be 'x'm

width =4x+1 metres

from the given condition,

2(l+b) =62

2(x+4x+1)=62

2(5x+1)=62

10x+2=62

10x=60

x=6 metres

Therefore,

length =6 metres

width=25 metres
