Answer:

length = p+3

breath = 2p-5

perimeter = 26

perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b)

2(p+3+2p-5)=26

2(3p-2)=26

3p - 2 =  \frac{26}{2}

3p-2=13

3p=13+2

3p=15

p =  \frac{15}{3}

p=5

the value of p=5.

substitute p=5 in length and breadth

length = p+3=5+3=8

breadth = 2p-5=2(5)-5=10-5=5

Verification:

2(l+b)=2(8+5)=16+10=26

I hope it is helpful...............................

Answer:

Given : l = p + 3 cm.

b = 2p - 5 cm.

perimeter of rectangle is 26.

Step-by-step explanation:

Now,

•°• we know that perimeter of rectangle is ↪ 2(l+b).

2(l+b) = 26. ----------- divided with 2

(l+b) = 13.

A/Q,

(p+3) + (2p-5) = 13.

p+3 + 2p-5 = 13.

3p -2 = 13.

3p = 15.

p = 5.

Value of p = 5.

So , l = p + 3.

= 5 + 3.

= 8.

and

b = 2p - 5.

= 2(5) - 5.

= 10 - 5.

= 5.

Area of rectangle = l* b.

= 8 * 5.

= 40.
