Let the length of the rectangle be x

 Breadth  = 3x

Perimeter = 56 m

2(l+b) = 56 m

l+b = 28 m

x+3x = 28 m

4x = 80 m

x = 21 m

length = 21 m Breadth = 7 m

Hope it helps you ugh!!!☺️❤️

Question:-

The length of a rectangle is three times its breadth and its perimeter is 56 metre find its length and breadth ?

Given :-

Perimeter of the rectangle is 56 meters .

Solution :-

Here

  • Let length be x meters

\texttt{Breath\:=\:x/3}

\bold{:\longrightarrow\:Perimeter\:\:=\:\:56\:m}

\bold{:\longrightarrow\:2(l\:+\:b)\:=56\:m}

\bold{:\longrightarrow\:l\:+\:b\:=\:\frac{56}{2}}

\bold{:\longrightarrow\:l\:+\:b\:=\:28\:m}

\bold{:\longrightarrow\:x\:+\:\frac{x}{3}\:=\:28m}

\bold{:\longrightarrow\:4x\:=\:80\:m}

\bold{:\longrightarrow\:x\:=\:\frac{80}{4} }

\bold{:\longrightarrow\:x\:=\:21\:m}

\bigstar\:\:\texttt{Now\:put\:the\:values\:of\:x\:=\:21\:in\:length\:and\:breath}

  • Length = x =21 m

  • Breath = x/3 = 21/3 = 7meters
