Let the breadth = x

And

The length = 3x

Perimeter = 2 ( l + b )

Put the given values :

184 = 2 ( x + 3x )

184 = 2(4x)

184 = 8x

$\sf\dfrac{184}{8} = x$

x = 23 cm

Breadth = x = 23 cm

Length = 3x = 3 × 23 = 69 cm

$\sf \: Area = length \times breadth$

Put the given values :

Area = 69 × 23

= 1587cm²
