Given :-

Perimeter = 184 cm

Let the breadth = x

And the length = 3x

To find :-

Area of rectangle = ?

Solution :-

Perimeter = 2(l + b)

Put the given values :-

184 = 2( x + 3x)

184 = 2(4x)

184 = 8x

\dfrac{184}{8} = x

x = 23 cm

Breadth = x = 23 cm

Length  = 3x = 3 × 23 = 69 cm

Area = length \times breadth

Put the given values :-

Area = 69 × 23

= 1587cm^2
