SOLUTION :

The length of rectangle is three times its breadth.   (given)

The perimeter of the rectangle = 84 m

To be found :-

The length of the rectangle

let

breadth of the rectangle be x m

length = 3x m

We know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b) units

[ In which l is the length and b is the breadth of the rectangle ]

⇒ 84 = 2(l+b)

⇒ 84 ÷ 2 = (3x + x)

⇒ 42 = 4x

⇒ 42 ÷ 4 = x

⇒ 10.5 = x

Hence

breadth of the rectangle is 10.5m

and

length of the rectangle is 3 × 10.5 = 31.5 m

Here is u r answer

Let the width be =X
length be= 3x

perimeter =84 m

perimeter of rectangle =(2l+b)

84=2(3x+x)

84/2=4x
42=4x
x=42/4

X=10.5
width =10.5

length =10.5X3

length=31.5

Hope help FuL to u
