Heya !!

Let breadth of rectangle be X unit.

Length = 3X.

Perimeter of rectangle = 184

2 ( L + B ) = 184

2 ( 3X + X ) = 184

4X = 92

X = 23 units.

Breadth of rectangle = X = 23 units

And,

Length of rectangle = 3X = 3 × 23 = 69 units

Area of rectangle = L × B = 23 × 69 = 1587 square unit .

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x units and length be 3x units.

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

Given perimeter as 184 units.

Therefore, 2(length+bradth) = 184

2(x+3x) = 184

2x4x = 184

8x = 184

x = 184/8 = 23

Substituting the value of x as 23 in length and breadth we get length as 3x23 = 69 units and breadth as 23 units.

Now area of the rectangle is length x breadth

Therefore area of the rectangle is 23 x 69 = 1587 square units.

Hope this helps you out.
