breadth = x

length = 3x

perimeter of a rectangle = 2( l + b)

84 = 2 ( x + 3x )

84/2 = 4x

42 = 4x

x = 10.5 = breadth

length = 30.5

hope it helps

Answer:

length =63 and width =21

Step-by-step explanation:

let the width of the rectangle is X

then length is 3x

perimeter is given 84 m

perimeter   = 2(l  + b)  \\ 84 = 3x + x\\  84 = 4x \\ 84 \div 4 = x \\ 21 = x

x=21

length = 3x = 3*21=63

width =X=21
