Given -

  • Length of rectangle is three times it's width.

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 32 cm

To find -

  • Length of the rectangle.

Solution -

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

Where,

l = Length

b = Breadth

Let the width be x and length be 3x

On substituting the values -

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

32 = 2(3x + x)

32 = 8x

x = 32/8

x = 4

Since length = 3x

so,

Length = 3(4)

Length = 12 cm

Verification -

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

32 = 2(4 + 12)

32 = 2 × 16

32 = 32

\therefore Length of rectangle is 12cm and width of rectangle is 4cm

⭐ ✨Length of the rectangle.

\huge{\mathbb\blue{Answer}}

✨ l = Length

✨ b = Breadth

Perimeter of rectangle is = 2x(l+b)

Let the breadth be x and the length 3x

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

Perimeter of rectangle = 2x(l+b)

= 32 = 2 x (3x + x )

= 32 = 8x

= x = 32/8

= x = 4

\huge{\mathbb\green{Length=3x}}

length = 3x(4)

= 12 cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2x(l+b)

= 32 = 2x(4+12)

= 32 = 2 x 16

= 32 = 32.
