Let the length be 3x

Perimeter = 84

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b)

84 = 2(3x+x)

84 = 6x+2x

84 = 8x

OR

8x = 84

x = 84/8

x = 10.5

If x (width) = 10.5,then 3x (length) = 3×10.5=31.5
