Let length of rectangle be 'l meters' ,

width of rectangle be 'b meters' .

According to the question,

l = 3b

perimeter of rectangle = 84m

=> 2(l+b)=84

=> ( l+b )=42

=> 3b+b =42

=> 4b=42

=> b=42/4

=21/2 = 10.5 m

:. Lenght = 3(21/2)

= 63/2

= 31.5 m
