The length of a rectangle is three times its width .if the perimeter of the rectangle is 96 meters , find the length and the breadth of the rectangle

let width be x therefore length = 3x perimeter=2(l+b) 96=2(4x) 48=4x x=12 so width is 12 metres and length is 36 metres
