The length of a rectangle is three times its width. It the perimeter is 84 m, find the
length of the rectangle.​

Answer:

width=X

length=3x

p=2(4x)

p=8x

84=8x

X=10.5

so the width is 10.5

length=31.5

Let the width be x

Length = 3x

Perimeter = 2(l+w)

Given perimeter = 84m

ATQ=>2(3x+x)=84m

=>8x=84m

=>4x=84/2=>42m

=>x=42/4=>10.5m

:. Width=10.5m

Length =3x=>10.5x3=>31.5m

:. The length of the rectangle is 31.5m
