The length of a rectangle is three times of its breath if the perimetre is 96 cm. Find the diametre of the rectangle.

Let the breadth of the recntagle be x.

3x -> Length

Perimeter = 3x + 3x + x + x = 8x

8x = 96cm

x = 96/8 = 12cm (Breadth)

Length = 12cm x 3 = 36cm

Diameter = \sqrt{36^2+12^2} = \sqrt{1296+144} = \sqrt{1440} = 37.947331922... (Round off if needed.)
