let width be x.

length will be 3x.

area of rec. = l × b

108= x × 3x

108 = 3x ^2

108 ÷ 3 = x^2

36 = x^2

6 = x

length = 3 × 6 =18

breadth = 6

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x

Length of the rectangle is 3x

x × 3x=108inch²

3x²=108inch²

x²=36

x=6

Length=3x=3×6inch=18inch

Breadth=x=6inch
