Answer: Hey

Here is your answer,

Let the length of the rectangle be l and breadth be b.

Given that,

The length is thrice the breadth.

l = 3b

Perimeter = 160

2(l+b) = 160

L+b = 160/2

L+b = 80

Substitute l=3b in the equation,

3b+b = 80

4b=80

b=80/4

b=20

L=3b

L=3 x 20

L = 60

Therefore the length is 60 m and breadth is 20m

Let breadth of the rectangle be x

the A/Q length of the rectangle = 3x

Perimeter of the rectangle = 160cm

2(l+b)= 160cm

2(3x+x)=160cm

2(4x)=160cm

4x=160cm/2

x=80cm/4

x=20cm

Therefore,Breadth= x = 20cm

Length= 3x = 3×20 = 60cm
