Given :

  • The length of Rectangle is twice the breadth.
  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 120 m

To find :

  • Breadth of rectangle?

Solution :

Let breadth of rectangle be x m

Then, Length of rectangle is 2x m

According to the Question:

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 120 m

We know that,

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b)

→ 2(x + 2x) = 120

→ x + 2x = 120/2

→ 3x = 60

→ x = 60/3

→ x = 20

Therefore,

  • Breadth of Rectangle, x = 20 m
  • Length of Rectangle, 2x = 20 × 2 = 40 m

Hence, Length and Breadth of rectangle is 40 m and 20 m respectively.

Answer:

 \underline{ \sf{ \underline{ ☃  Given:}}}

  • Length of rectangle is twice of breadth
  • Perimeter of rectangle is 120m

 \underline{ \sf{ \underline{☃Find:}}}

  • Breadth of rectangle

 \underline{ \sf{ \underline{☃Solution:}}}

{ \sf{Length \:  of \:  rectangle \:  is  \: twice \:  of \:  breadth}}

{ \sf{Let  \: take  \: breadth  \: as  \: x}}

{ \sf{So, Length = 2x }}

We know that

{ \boxed{ \sf{Perimeter = 2(l+b) }}}

{ \to{ \sf{120 = 2(2x+x) }}}

{ \to{ \sf{120 = 2(3x)}}}

{ \to{ \sf{120 = 6x}}}

{ \to{ \sf{x =  \frac{120}{6} }}}

{ \to{ \sf{x = 20}}}

Therefore,

Length of rectangle = 2x = 2×20 = 40cm

Breadth of rectangle = x = 20cm
