Given: Length of a rectangle is twice its breadth and perimeter is 36cm.

To find: Length.

Answer:

Let the breadth be x.

Therefore length = 2x.

Formula to find perimeter: Perimeter = 2(l + b)

Substituting the given values,

36 = 2(2x + x)

36 = 2*3x

36 = 6x

x = 36/6

x = 6

Therefore breadth = 6cm and length = 2*6 = 12cm.

Hope it helps :)

let breadth be x
Length=2x
perimeter= 36(given)
2(L+B)=36
2(2x+x)=36
2(3x)=36
6x=36
x=36/6
x=6

so,Breadth= 6and length= 2×6=12
