Let the breadth of the rectangle be "x"

Length = "2x"

Perimeter = 2(l + b)

=2(x + 2x )

=6x

Perimeter = 72 m

so,

6x = 72

x = 72/6

= 12 m

Breadth = x = 12 m

Length = 2x = 24 cm

Answer:

breadth of rectangle is x m

length of rectangle is 2xm

perimeter =2(l+b)

= 2(2x+x)

= 2(3x)

=6x

Find x

6x=72m

6x=72

x=72÷6

x= 12

now x is 12

Finding length and breadth:

And x = 12

Length is 2xm

= 2×12

24m

therefore the length is 24m

Breadth is x m

= 12 m

Perimeter of Rectangle:

2(l + b)

= 2(24+12)

= 2(36)

= 2×36

= 72 meters

Hence the length and breadth is 24 meters and 12 meters.
