then the lenghth is = 2(a)= 2a

Now

perimeter of a rectangle = 2(length + breadth )

=2(l +b)

the perimeter given =72 m

72m = 2(a + 2a)

36= 3a

a =12 ;

then we get

length =2( 12) = 24 m

Breadth = a =12 m
