Hello, the answer to your question is here, please mark this as a brainliest answer

Since the length of the rectangle is twice it's breadth, we will take the length of the rectangle as 2x
Now,ATQ:-
PERIMETER =36M
2(L+B)=36
2(2X+x)=36
3x=36/2
3x=18
x=6
Therefore breadth =6m and length=2×6=12m

Question:-

The length of a rectangle is twice it's breadth . If the perimeter is 36m ,find the length of the rectangle.

Solution:-

let, L be the length of rectangle and B be the breadth of rectangle.

By Question:-

L = 2B ...... ( 1 )

We know formula

=> Perimeter of rectangle = 2( L + B )

From ( 1 )

=> Perimeter of rectangle = 2(2B + B)

=> 36 = 2(3B)

i.e.

=> 2(3B)= 36

=> 3B = 36/2

=> 3B = 18

=> B = 18/3

=> B = 6

=> B = 6 m

put value of B in equation ( 1 )

=> L = 2B = 2 × 6 = 12 m

Hence length of rectangle is 12.

i hope it helps you.
