Let the width be x
So length is 2x
Perimeter = 36cm
=>2 (l + b) =36
=>2 (2x + x ) = 36
=>2 (3x) = 36
=> 6x = 36
=> x = 36 / 6
=> x = 6cm
Width = 6cm
Length = 12cm
Area = l× b
=> 6 × 12
=> 72 cm^2
