Find the length and breadth of given rectangle.

Formula used:-

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

Solution:-

Let the breadth be x

Then,length = 2x

According to the question ,

Area of rectangle = 400 cm² [ Given ]

⇒ Length × Breadth = 400

★ Substituting the values of length and breadth in the above formula,we get:

⇒ x × 2x = 400

⇒ 2x² = 400

⇒ x² = 400/2

⇒ x² = 200

⇒ x = √200

⇒ x = 14.14 cm

Now,

★ Breadth = x = 14.14 cm

★ Length = 2x = 2 × 14.14 = 28.28 cm

Thus,the length and breadth of rectangle are 28.28 cm and 14.14 cm respectively.
