  • Length of rectangle is 20 cm.
  • Breadth of rectangle is 10 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

  • Perimeter of rectangle is 60 cm.

To find:-

  • Length and Breadth of rectangle.

Solution:-

Let, Breadth of rectangle be 'x'.

And Length of rectangle be '2x'.

We know that,

 \boxed{\sf \bold{\star \: Perimeter \:of\: rectangle = 2(l + b)}}

In which,

  • l and b are length and Breadth of rectangle respectively.

Perimeter = 60 cm.

Put perimeter in formula :

 \longrightarrow \sf 60 = 2\times (2x + x)

 \longrightarrow \sf 60 = 4x + 2x

 \longrightarrow \sf  60 = 6x

 \longrightarrow \sf  \cfrac{60}{6} = x

 \longrightarrow \sf 10 = x

Or, x = 10

We have taken x be Breadth. So, Breadth is 10 cm.

And We have taken length be 2x = 2×10 = 20 cm. Therefore, Length of rectangle is 20 cm.

Answer:

here \: is \: your \: answer

Length of a Rectangle = 2breadth

l = 2b

perimeter \: of \: rectangle \:  = 2(l + b)

60 = 2(2b + b)

 \frac{60}{6}  = b

10 = b

60 = 2(3b)

60 = 6b

10 = b

Hence the breadth of rectangle is 10cm

length = 2 \times 10 = 20cm

Hence the length of rectangle is 20 cm
