Let the breadth of the rectangle be 'b' cm.Thus the length according to the problem is '2b' cm.
The new length = 2b-5 cm
The new breath = b+5 cm
Area of rectangle is (2b-5)(b+5) = 75. (As given in the problem)
b^2+5b-75=0
Thus,b=10 cm
Breadth of original rectangle = 10 cm
Length of original rectangle = 20 cm.
