Let the length of the breadth be x and then length will be 2x

given, perimeter of rectangle is 30cm

i.e. 2(length + breadth) = 30

=> 2(2x + x ) = 30

=> 2(3x) = 30

=>3x = 30/2

=> x = 15/3 = 5

hence breadth of the rectangle is 5cm

length of the rectangle is 2(5) = 10cm

Area of the rectangle is length x breadth

= 5 *10 = 50

hence area of the rectangle is 50cm²
