The length of a rectangle is twice its breadth if the area of the rectangle is 288 cm square
Find its perimeter.​

Answer:

let the breadth of the rectangle be x

therefore the length will be 2x

The perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l +b)

According to the question ,

the area of the rectangle = l×b = 288cm square

so, X × 2X= 288

X = √144

X = 12

the length = 12x 2cm=24cm

the breadth = 12cm

2(l+b)= 2( X+2X)cm

2(12 + 24)cm

72cm

therefore the perimeter of the given rectangle is 72cm
