Given:area of rectangle=520cm²
To Find :L=?,B=?
Solution:L=length of rectangle
B=Breadth of rectangle
L=2B
area of rectangle =L×B
520 = 2B²
B=√260
B=16.124cm
L=2×16.124
=32.249cm

Given,

The length of a rectangle is twice its breadth.

The area of the rectangle is 520 cm^{2}.

To Find,

The length and breadth of the rectangle.

Solution,

The breadth of a rectangle is x cm.

The length of the rectangle is 2x cm.

So the area of a rectangle is 2x×x=2x^{2}.

So we can say, 2x^{2}=520.

x^{2}=260.

⇒x=\sqrt{260}=16.12 .

So The breadth of a rectangle is 16.12 cm. (Approx)

∴The length of the rectangle is 2×16.12 cm = 32.24 cm.

Hence, the length and breadth of the rectangle are 16.12 cm and 32.24cm.
