Let width of rectangle be x cm.

length of rectangle be 2x.

Area of rectangle=length*breath

288cm²=2x*x

288=2x²

288/2=x²

144=x²

√144=x

12=x

Hence, width is 12 cm and length is 2*12 is 24 cm.

Answer:

12 here is the answer please mark my answer as the brainliest

explanation:

let the width of the rectangle be x

then the length would be 2x

area of rectangle= length×breath

288cm²=2x*x

so, we can do 288=2x² , and then

288/2=x²

144=x²

so, with this we can say that (square root 144=x)

square root 144=x

so, x=12

so now with this, the breath=12cm

and, the length=12×2

=24cm

and the perimeter = 48cm,

the area = 288cm²
