The length of a rectangle is twice its width. If the perimeter is 72 metre, find the length and width of the rectangle.

Answer:

Let the width be x,

Therefore, the length will be 2x

Perimeter of rectange = 2(l+b)

72 = 2(x+2x)

72 = 6x

x = 12m

Width = x = 12m

Length = 2x = 2x12 = 24m
