let the length be X

Breadth = 2x

perimeter = 2 ( length + breadth )

30 = 2 ( X + 2x)

30 = 2 ( 3x )

30 = 6x

X = 30/6

X = 5

length = 5

breadth = 2 * 5

= 10

The given question is The length of a rectangle is twice its width. The perimeter is 30.

we have to find the value of it's dimensions such as length and breadth.

The given datas are length=2x

breadth=x

perimeter=2(length + breadth) =30

substitute the values given in the question into the formula.

30 = 2(x + 2x) \\ 30 = 2(3x) \\ 15 = 3x \\  \frac{15}{3}  = x \\ x = 5 \\ 2x = 2 \times 5 = 10

Therefore, the length of the rectangle is 10 CM and width of the rectangle is 5 cm
